HOW TO FEEL GOOD IN YOUR SKIN

Few months ago I talked about the power of inner beauty. I have already mentioned that for me looks is a reflection of the state of  mind, health and life quality.  I believe this is a topic that unites all women, regardless our age, character or nationality. How to live every day with an ease and just feel good about yourself? I want to share my “secrets” or habits that I use to live with happy and peaceful mind every day. Hopefully they make me look good too. In the end, it is as simple as that – true happiness makes us glow.


ACCEPT YOURSELF

I believe and I hope this is one of the things which gets better with age.  It took me 25 years to come to a stage where I feel proud and happy with my body, I feel comfortable in my own skin. Though, I believe it will take about 25 more to learn how to completely accept, understand and trust it, it only gets better.  We hear it all the time  – “love your body, accept it, it all starts with yourself.. “. In reality, there is no easy recipe for that. I would say it all comes from within. From the moment when you realise – you are just fine the way you are. When you really start loving the cool personality that hides behind that body, when you stop comparing and criticising yourself!

LESS IS MORE – NATURAL BEAUTY

When it comes to make-up, I really enjoy light, transparent and airy make-up that only highlights my natural features. But it wasn’t always like that. I’m so thankful for my crazy teen years, when my girlfriends and I had a lot of make-up experiments. Now I can only imagine how funny I looked with bright blue eye shadow, blonde hair and fuchsia pink lips. But only with a LOT of mistakes we can learn what is right for us and I wish every young girl to get the most out of your teen years. Don’t be afraid to fail. It applies to all kind of life situations, not only make-up or fashion. Mistakes are fine, they are necessary indeed.  It is the only way how to learn, how to grow and how to become aware of your personality and natural beauty.

STRESS FREE WARDROBE

We all are aware of the horrible consequences of stressful life. We can’t eliminate all possible causes that make us nervous, but we CAN make our home, and, yes, our closet stress free. If you are super organised and plan your outfits ahed, congrats, but if you are normal and often find yourself in hasty days when even dressing up can stress you out, my advice might help you a lot. Find some staple pieces that fit you perfectly, are comfortable and versatile and stick to them. It should be something you could wear all day, every day. It doesn’t matter if it’s a dress, shoes or jeans that fit perfectly. Having a ready-to-wear outfit is the key for looking good even when time is not in your favour.

HAPPY MIND – HAPPY LIFE

Having bad emotions or resentment towards anyone is the worst thing. Anger and denial impact not only our mood, but also affect our health and reflect on our looks. I know that for me having good relationship with my family and friends is the cornerstone for well-being. Nothing gives me more joy than laughing with my girlfriends, visiting family or having a romantic date night with my man. So, never underestimate the importance of people you have in your life. Talk things through, forgive each other and enjoy every second !
